THE-SPIN-200x307

I would definitely recommend this book for animal lovers in particular as they are are large part of the book. Others who enjoy adventure or mystery or this book just appeals to them i almost certainly will guarantee you that some feature in this book will meet your standards.

The spin will make you sit on the edge of your seat on more than one occasion. It will make  you gasp or groan or even feel character’s pain. It will make you wonder and expect higher. You will feel the character’s woes and excitements. The spin will break your heart and then sew it back together. Continue reading “The Spin – Rebecca Lisle”

The Adventures of Captain Underpants – Dave Pilkey

Rating: 3/10  Unknown-2

Recommended for: I would recommend this book for boys and maybe some girls. I only read it because my brother read it when he was younger so it was in the cupboard. I did not enjoy it at all since the plot was boring and it was so unrealistic. Even though books don’t have to be realistic, they are just silly things in this book that you can’t even imagine or think of in your head. On the plus side it had very good pictures that help you understand things better. Continue reading “The Adventures of Captain Underpants – Dave Pilkey”

Ratburger – David Walliams

Rating: 8/10Unknown-1

Genre: Adventure

Recommended for: This book I would recommend to as young as 9 since it has some yuck bits in it and some bits are a little bit cruel. I would recommend this book to both boys and girls but especially boys. Some of the other David Walliams books I would recommend for just boys and others just girls, but really anyone can read anyone of them.

This book is about a girl named Zoe who has a pretty unfortunate life. She used to have a great life but everyone ruined it for her. Her stepmother Sheila is horrible to her and does not respect her one tiny little bit. She has a pet rat but Continue reading “Ratburger – David Walliams”

David Walliams

imagesDavid Walliams is an author. But he is not just an author, he is a great author.

He can do all types of book genres and they’re all just so great. He has movies to most of his books and I think whoever has made the movie has done a really good job in getting what the book has and the messages from the book into the movie. His books are not in a series but they all have the same newsagent and it is called Raj’s Newsagent. He is a dodgy seller trying to give you ridiculous prices and sales and most of his things have been half eaten or unwrapped or out of date. David Walliams usually features himself in most of his movies as something, so that they can show that he is the author. Some roles that he plays are bigger than others but he is still in them.

His books are: Gangsta Granny, Ratburger, Grandpa’s Great Escape, The Boy in the dress, Billionaire Boy, Mr Stink, Demon Dentist, Camp David, Awful Auntie, The slightly Annoying Elephant, The First Hippo On the Moon, The Queen’s Orangutan and The Bear Who Went Boo.

My favourite would have to be Mr Stink since I love the messages in it. But truly I think all his books are very very good and he is a talented author.

The Tom Gate Series – L. Pichon

Rating: 10/10        Unknown-1

These books are wonderful to read. Anyone can start reading them up from when your nine until almost whenever because I still enjoy reading them now. They are full of excitement, anger, disaster and just plain humour. I would recommend them for boys but I can’t really say that since I read them. They have very easy print and it’s very easy to read since it has so many pictures compared to words. Some of them look long because they have a lot of pages but they truly don’t. Most of the page is filled up with pictures and drawings that he does or just empty space. As I was saying before they would probably be better read by boys but anyone could read them.
