The Julian Chapter – R J Palacio

Unknown-22/5/16

Rating: 9/10

Age: The main age group in 10+, but in all honesty it would be suited to maybe 11-12+; there’s nothing really unsuitable for younger readers, but I just feel like this book would bore younger audiences and they wouldn’t really understand what’s going on as much as older readers.

Recommended For: Based off the best-selling book Wonder,  a motivational, uplifting, and inspiring story about how people’s physical appearance does not define them and you do not judge them for it; The Julian chapter is the same as Wonder yet in the main character’s (August Pullman’s) bully, Julian’s perspective. I believe it’s a very entertaining and great novel if you’re a fan of Wonder. I also really enjoyed it and I’ve never actually read the original.

Genres: Drama, Inspirational Continue reading “The Julian Chapter – R J Palacio”

Billionaire Boy – David Williams

2/5/16

Rating: 8/10Unknown

Unknown

Rating: 7/10

Age: This is a good book for kids 8-10 because it has a lot of detail on some pages but less on others.

This book is about two people named Andy and Terry and they have a massive treehouse and on each level it has different things like bowling alleys, a roller coaster, a maze and more. But then Terry builds another level which is level 39 and then Andy comes up to check it and it’s a machine where it writes, draws and edits the book so Andy and Terry don’t have to write and draw the book.
