New Book Titles

Well, it’s been a busy weekend for my doggie account – a shopping trip to the ‘Younger Sun’ bookshop in Yarraville AND Savers, to top up my book collection.

I managed to find some real gems on the secondhand shelves of Savers, such as:

The books in the main picture are brand new novels, from The Younger Sun bookshop, some of which are shortlisted for this years Book of the Year, by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.

Blogger of the Month: July

       2210_750This is ~ Charlotte, the Maltese cross Shih Tzu ~ who has been one of our main contributors since we started the site.

She seems to chew through books, like there’s no tomorrow (I’m sure she finishes a novel nearly every week!) – I sometimes wonder if her human feeds her!

Recommended for: Kids and adults of all ages.

Genre: Picture Story Book, Fiction, Slice of Real life.

Summary: ‘Mr Huff’ follows the story of a young boy called Bill who wakes up on a Monday morning in a dismal mood and in a bit of a ‘huff’.

Recommended for: A powerful picture book that can be enjoyed by a wide range of age groups.

This is Lucy Estela’s first book.  She was inspired by the story of one of the tallest women in the world and the plight of refugees.
